Job Overview:

The Children's Centre is looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. We are seeking someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children, embraces the philosophy of learning through play, and brings positivity, creativity, and initiative into the classroom.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement meaningful, developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
- Foster children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through exploration and discovery.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Use positive guidance strategies to support children’s individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with the preschool team to create an engaging and nurturing environment.
- Observe and document children’s learning and development.
- Actively participate in classroom routines, activities, and program planning.
- Maintain a safe, organized, welcoming, and inclusive learning workplace.

Requirements

- Alberta Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification.




- Experience working with preschool-aged children is an asset.
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it before starting.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- It is required that Employees communicate in English

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
