Computer Systems Assembler (Entry-Level — Training Provided)

About Us

Acura Embedded Systems designs and manufactures rugged industrial computers, touchscreen products, and digital video recorders used in demanding environments, including oil and gas, transportation, and energy. Since 1994, we have focused on building reliable computing systems for specialized industrial applications.

We are looking for dependable, hands-on individuals to join our production team and help assemble our computer systems. Full training will be provided, so previous experience in computer assembly or electronics is not required.

Responsibilities

- Assemble rugged computer systems using provided instructions and procedures.
- Install and connect computer components, cables, and other components.
- Handle small components and tools carefully.
- Follow assembly steps and quality-control procedures.
- Perform system checks and testing.
- Complete assigned work accurately and on schedule.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications

- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Comfortable working with small components and using basic hand tools.
- Able to perform repetitive, hands-on assembly tasks.
- Able to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Sufficient English communication skills to understand instructions and communicate with coworkers.





Optional assets:

- Experience with soldering, crimping and cutting wires.
- Computer hardware and OS troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling - CAD/CAM/Fusion360.
- CNC machining knowledge.
- Experience with multimeters and oscilloscopes.

Acura Embedded Systems has a variety of production and technical activities, so candidates with additional hands-on or technical skills may have opportunities to contribute in other areas as well. Previous experience is not required. Experience with computers, electronics, manufacturing, or assembly is an asset, but we are happy to train the right candidates.
