Senior Enterprise Architect – Financial Ecosystems

We are seeking an experienced Senior Enterprise Architect for a remote contract opportunity supporting strategic financial ecosystem initiatives, including Consumer-Driven Banking (CDB), stablecoins, and next-generation financial services infrastructure.

The successful candidate will provide strategic architectural guidance, evaluate complex technology solutions, and advise senior stakeholders on the design, security, interoperability, and governance of financial ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide strategic architecture advisory services for Consumer-Driven Banking, stablecoin, and other financial ecosystem initiatives.
- Assess and guide the design of enterprise architectures, operating models, and governance frameworks.
- Evaluate financial-grade API architectures, API governance, security, and interoperability frameworks.
- Assess digital identity, trust frameworks, authentication mechanisms, and secure participant onboarding models.
- Review accreditation frameworks, ecosystem registries, and trust registries.
- Provide architectural recommendations to strengthen ecosystem security, resilience, regulatory compliance, and scalability.
- Challenge proposed architectures, validate technical assumptions, and identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure alignment with international standards, industry best practices, and applicable financial sector frameworks.
- Collaborate with senior executives,



regulators, financial institutions, industry participants, and technical delivery teams.
- Prepare architectural assessments, strategic recommendations, and executive briefing materials.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of recent experience delivering enterprise architecture services for complex technology, financial services, or digital ecosystem initiatives.
- Experience with banking, payments, fintech, financial market infrastructure, or related regulated environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial API architectures, API integration, interoperability, and secure information exchange.
- Experience with digital identity, trust frameworks, authentication, accreditation models, and participant onboarding.
- Solid knowledge of Financial-grade APIs (FAPI), API governance, API security, and developer portals .
- Hands-on architectural knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, mutual TLS (mTLS), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and certificate management .
- Experience designing and implementing security architectures and Microsoft Azure cloud architectures.
- Excellent stakeholder management, strategic advisory, and communication skills, including experience engaging senior executives and multi-stakeholder governance groups.
