Ocean Pacific Marine is a leading marine services provider on Vancouver Island, specializing in vessel repair, refit and construction. Established in 1985, we are entering an exciting period of growth, including a major federal vessel construction program and expanded shipbuilding operations.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on ERP & IT Systems Manager to lead the performance, development and ongoing optimization of our SAP Business One environment while overseeing broader business IT systems and support requirements.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of business-critical systems, work directly with senior leadership and play a key role in supporting our company's growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage, troubleshoot and optimize SAP Business One on HANA, Eralis Job Costing and Boyum B1 Usability Package (B1UP).
- Diagnose technical issues, improve system performance and implement reliable solutions.
- Configure and improve ERP workflows across purchasing, inventory, job costing, labour tracking and financial reporting.
- Support ERP development and reporting requirements for our new vessel construction program.
- Develop SQL queries, Crystal Reports, dashboards and business intelligence tools.
- Manage system improvements, integrations, upgrades and external implementation partners.
- Oversee general business IT requirements, coordinate external Managed Service Providers and support employee IT onboarding.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation and practical AI applications.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

- Five or more years of hands-on SAP Business One experience on HANA, spanning implementation, configuration and support.
- Robust technical toolkit: SQL, UDFs, formatted searches, transaction notifications, B1UP validations and automation, and report development in Crystal Reports or comparable tools.




- Proven ability to diagnose transaction and system performance issues and verify fixes with evidence
- Working knowledge of purchasing, inventory, financial postings, WIP and job or project costing.
- A track record of owning delivery end to end — requirements through testing, deployment and user acceptance — including managing external providers and communicating clearly with operational users and Finance.

Preferred:

- Degree or diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or a related discipline.
- Experience with Eralis/Enprise Job Costing.
- Experience in shipbuilding, construction, manufacturing or other project-based industries.
- SAP Business One certification, Power BI or systems integration experience.
