High Demand Heating is a locally operated heating and HVAC service company serving homeowners throughout the Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley areas.

We're looking for an experienced, reliable, and motivated Gas Service Technician (Class B or A) to join our growing team.

Our ideal candidate is a skilled technician who is comfortable working independently, confidently diagnosing equipment issues, and providing professional service to residential customers.

This is primarily a service, maintenance, and repair position, rather than an installation-focused role.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on residential gas appliances and heating systems.
- Service gas fireplaces, furnaces, boilers, tankless water heaters, and conventional hot water tanks.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment and manufacturer specifications.
- Identify defective components and complete necessary repairs safely and efficiently.
- Perform equipment inspections to ensure safe operation and compliance with applicable codes.
- Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly and professionally to homeowners.
- Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, equipment conditions, and recommended repairs.
- Work independently while coordinating with our dispatch team to complete scheduled appointments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Requirements

- Valid Technical Safety BC Class B or Class A Gasfitter certification.
- Previous hands-on experience servicing and repairing residential gas appliances.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Confidence working independently on service and maintenance calls.




- Familiarity with residential gas furnaces, fireplaces, boilers, and water heating equipment.
- Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and skilled.
- Ability to work safely and follow applicable regulations and manufacturer procedures.

Experience with heat pumps, air conditioning systems, and additional HVAC equipment is considered an asset, provided the technician holds any required qualifications. While we strongly prefer an experienced technician who can begin working independently, we may also consider less-experienced applicants who already hold the required gas certification and demonstrate strong technical abilities and a willingness to learn.
