Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assess their eyewear needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Educate customers on optical products, lens options, and eye health using clear medical terminology
- Assist in selecting frames that complement individual styles and facial features while considering prescription requirements
- Conduct basic vision assessments and support the fitting of glasses or contact lenses as needed
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical products, laboratory procedures, and industry trends to provide expert guidance
- Manage retail transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems such as Epic or similar platforms
- Collaborate with laboratory teams to ensure timely processing of lenses and eyewear repairs or adjustments
- Promote retail sales by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate products to enhance their vision experience
Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to eye health and vision care
- Laboratory experience with lens fitting, adjustments, or optical equipment is highly desirable
- Previous optical or retail sales experience demonstrating excellent customer service skills
- Proven ability to drive sales through active engagement and product knowledge
- Familiarity with Epic or other retail management systems for transaction processing
- Knowledge of optical products, including lenses, frames, contact lenses, and related accessories
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and confidently to diverse customers
