Our client, based in Woodstock, Cape Town, is seeking a motivated and results-driven External Retail Sales Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ sales representative experience, with at least 1 year of experience in the leather, upholstery, fabric, or hospitality industry. A Matric certificate and a clear credit record are essential, while tertiary education will be an advantage.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Sales Representative.

- At least 1 year of experience in the leather, upholstery, fabric, or hospitality industry.

- Matric certificate is essential.

- Tertiary education will be an advantage.

- A explicit credit record is essential.

- Proven track record in sales, telemarketing, and customer service.

- Demonstrated ability to achieve targets and deliver required results.

- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong time management and organisational skills.





- High level of emotional intelligence.

- Excellent relationship-building skills.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

- Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license are essential.

DUTIES:

- Service and maintain the active customer base assigned to you.

- Increase repeat business from the existing active customer base.

- Reactivate inactive customers and develop them into active customers.

- Identify and secure new business opportunities by sourcing prospective customers.

- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets.

- Complete all administrative tasks and adhere to the company’s policies and procedures.

HOURS:

- Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00

- Saturday: 08:30 – 13:00 (when required)
