Innisfail Boarding Kennels is looking for an experienced General Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our established boarding and daycare facility.
We are looking for a manager first. Previous kennel experience is not required.
We can teach the right person our kennel operation, procedures and animal-care requirements. What we need is someone who already knows how to lead people, make sound decisions, solve problems, stay organized and take responsibility for an operation.
This is a hands-on leadership position. The General Manager will work alongside kennel attendants and perform regular kennel duties as required while remaining responsible for the overall operation of the facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing, scheduling and directing staff
- Handling call-ins and arranging staff coverage
- Training staff and holding employees accountable
- Managing daily operations and ensuring work is completed properly
- Handling customer questions,concerns and complaints
- Monitoring bookings and adjusting staffing accordingly
- Ensuring inspections, safety procedures and documentation are completed
- Dealing with incidents and unexpected problems as they arise
- Working alongside kennel staff when workload requires it
- Keeping ownership informed of significant issues while independently handling normal day-to-day operations
The owner will remain involved in major business decisions and facility maintenance. The General Manager will be responsible for running the day-to-day business.

Previous kennel experience is NOT required. Full training in our kennel operation and procedures will be provided. Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting salary of $65,000 per year
