Western Arctic Business Development Corporation (WABDC) is a nonprofit organization supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs across the Beaufort-Delta region.

We’re hiring a General Manager to oversee daily operations, staff, finances and business lending services. This position reports to the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

- Manage daily operations, supervise staff and oversee budgets.
- Oversee business loan assessments, repayment monitoring and client support.
- Prepare reports for the Board and funders.
- Manage funding agreements and maintain accurate financial records.
- Build relationships with communities, Indigenous organizations and business partners.

Qualifications

- A degree or diploma in business, finance, accounting, economic development or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.




- At least five years of relevant experience in business development, commercial lending or financial management, including two years supervising staff or managing operations.
- Robust budgeting, financial analysis, communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Understanding of northern communities and business conditions. Experience with a nonprofit Board, Community Futures or an Indigenous organization is an asset.

This position is based in Inuvik and requires regional travel and occasional evening or weekend work. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,064.00-$110,032.00 per year
