We are looking to hire a recent graduate with a degree in Geology. The suitable candidate must have an interest in Geology, Mapping and Modelling. Familiarity with Accumap will be an asset. You will have good command of English both written and spoken, be able to communicate effectively, work in a team environment as well as independently.
You must be tech savvy with a keen understanding of Excel worksheets, databases and network settings. Potential occasional overnight shift. Must live in Calgary or vicinity.
Duties
- Able to gather and process geological data from online data sources
- Support the creation of detailed maps and models using our proprietary software
- Analyze and interpret geological data to identify patterns, trends, and potential resource locations
- Document findings accurately through reports, logs, and digital records for project continuity
Requirements
- Recently completed a degree in Geology or Earth Sciences
- Work experience of 0 to 5 years max.- those with more experience need not apply.
- Basic EXcel and Database analysis skills is highly desirable
- Strong research skills with an eye for detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with programming languages
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team environment
