PEI Atlantic Baptist Homes – Centennial Court is seeking a skilled and reliable Hairdresser to provide hair care services to residents at our 116 bed long term residential care facility in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

This prospect is well suited to a hair care professional who enjoys working with seniors and provides a patient, respectful, and personalized service.

This is an independent service provider opportunity under a salon services agreement. The hairdresser will bill residents for services provided at rates approved by the Home.

The Home provides

- Physical salon space
- Heat and electricity
- Maintenance and replacement of fixed assets
- Weekly housekeeping
- Towels and laundering services

Responsibilities

- Provide hair care services that meet residents’ individual needs and preferences.
- Respect residents’ dignity, individuality, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Communicate regularly with residents, families, staff, and management to support quality service.
- Arrange appropriate salon hours to meet residents’ needs.
- Propose service rates for review and approval by the Home.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and submit detailed resident account statements to the Business Office.
- Ensure anyone involved in providing the service signs the required confidentiality pledge.




- Follow the Home’s emergency procedures and applicable salon hygiene and safety practices.

Qualifications

- Relevant hairdressing training and qualifications.
- Experience providing a range of hair care services.
- Experience working with seniors is an asset.
- A patient, compassionate, and respectful approach.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage appointments, service records, and billing accurately.
- Ability to provide reliable services while maintaining resident confidentiality.
