Role Description This full-time commissioned Hairstylist role is an on-site position based at evoke Salon in Toronto, ON. The Hairstylist will provide comprehensive hair services, including cutting, styling, coloring, and treatments tailored to each guest’s needs and preferences. Daily responsibilities include consulting with clients, recommending suitable styles and hair care routines, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

The role involves building and maintaining a loyal clientele through professional, friendly service and effective communication.



The Hairstylist will also collaborate with the salon team, participate in ongoing education, and uphold evoke Salon’s standards for customer care and community engagement.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated proficiency in Hair Styling and Hair Care, with a strong focus on current techniques and trends.
- Formal training or certification in Cosmetology, and a valid hairstyling/cosmetology license as required by local regulations.
- Solid Customer Service skills, with the ability to create welcoming, positive experiences for diverse guests.
- Effective Communication skills, including active listening, clear consultation, and professional client interaction.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Toronto, ON, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.
- Attention to hygiene and safety standards, including proper sanitation of tools and workstations.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced salon environment.
- Experience with retail product recommendations and basic appointment management is an asset.
