Job Summary

Seeking a motivated Hairstylist to join my team, Located in quite Sooke. Beautiful busy home salon with location 5 minute drive from Sooke downtown core. Salon has been open and operating since 2019.

Responsibilities

- Deliver professional hair styling services including cuts, color, styling, and treatments tailored to each client’s preferences and hair type
- Provide outstanding customer service by listening carefully to clients’ needs and offering expert advice
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, tools, and products to ensure a safe environment
- Promote retail sales by recommending suitable hair care products and upselling additional services to enhance client satisfaction
- Manage front desk duties such as greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling payments efficiently
- Communicate clearly with clients about their desired styles, aftercare instructions, and product usage for ongoing satisfaction
- Keep detailed records of services performed and client preferences to ensure personalized future visits

Qualifications

- Proven experience in hair styling with a robust portfolio of work demonstrating versatility and creativity




- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and foster repeat business
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols and safety standards within a salon environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively discuss styles, products, and services with clients
- Ability to upsell retail products naturally while maintaining a positive client experience
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required
- A professional attitude with the flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced salon setting
- Has or looking to build a clientele and can be a apprentice just exiting Beauty School
