About Us: Wanshing Machinery has been offering a wide range of commercial machinery services in Richmond, BC, since 2006. We are seeking an experienced, Red Seal certified Mechanic / Shop Supervisor to join our team on a part time basis.

Role Overview: In this role, you will provide technical expertise for complex diagnostics and equipment maintenance, while supervising day-to-day shop repairs and providing guidance to junior mechanics and apprentices.

- Job Type: Part-Time (1–2 days per week)
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts (Flexible days based on job volume)
- Location: In-person (Richmond, BC)

Key Responsibilities:

- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise shop operations, guide junior mechanics/apprentices, and support their technical development and apprenticeship progression.
- Diagnostics & Repair: Perform and oversee advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems for commercial, rental, and customer equipment.
- Field & Site Service: Travel to customer job sites for equipment maintenance/repairs when required, representing the company with high standards.




- Shop Maintenance: Ensure service equipment, shop tools, and vehicles are kept clean, safe, and professional.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Certification: Red Seal Certification in Heavy Duty Equipment, Automotive, or a related mechanical trade (Required).
- Experience: Strong background in hydraulic, mechanical, diesel systems, and commercial machinery repair.
- Leadership: Proven ability to supervise, teach, and work independently with minimal oversight.
- License: Valid Driver’s License (Required).
- Languages:
- English (Required)
- Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese (Asset)
- Assets: Forklift repair and service experience is highly valued

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
