Bagheera - Vancouver's award winning cocktail bar is looking for a host to join our team!

We believe a memorable evening begins the moment a guest walks through the door. From a warm welcome to a seamless seating experience, our hosts play an essential role in setting the tone and ensuring every guest feels comfortable, valued, and well looked after.

We’re looking for a polished, personable, and naturally welcoming individual who enjoys working with people, appreciates the finer details of hospitality, and takes pride in creating a wonderful first impression.

The Role

As a host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and an key part of the overall experience. You’ll help create a welcoming atmosphere, manage reservations, coordinate seating, and work closely with the service team to ensure every visit begins smoothly.

This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for hospitality, a confident and friendly personality, and an appreciation for creating memorable experiences through thoughtful service.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, guest lists, and seating arrangements.
- Coordinate with bartenders and service staff to ensure smooth guest flow.
- Maintain an organised reservation system and communicate wait times clearly.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, personalised service.
- Handle guest enquiries with confidence, discretion, and professionalism.
- Maintain a polished entrance and welcoming front-of-house environment.
- Assist with special occasions, VIP arrivals, and other guest requests.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional team culture.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in hosting, restaurants, cocktail bars, hotels,



or another guest-facing hospitality role is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and a naturally warm, engaging manner.
- A professional, polished approach to guest interaction and personal presentation.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Confidence managing reservations, coordinating seating, and handling guest enquiries.
- A calm, composed attitude during busy service periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of discretion and guest privacy.
- A team-oriented mindset and a genuine interest in hospitality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: $18.25 per hour
