A leading global machinery manufacturing company seeking a HR Generalist 【 Contract to Hire 】 to join their team and provide expert support across all HR functions to support their workforce and streamline HR processes.

This position will be responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with Canadian employment legislation, and maintaining accuracy and efficiency within our ADP HR and payroll systems. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, adaptable, and have strong experience in HR practices.

HR Generalist Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers
- Support and advise on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation
- Administer and process payroll and advantages using ADP Workforce Now (or relevant ADP platform)
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Canadian employment laws and provincial regulations
- Support full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation
- Assist with health & safety initiatives and workplace compliance
- Contribute to HR projects and process improvements as needed
- Other duties as assigned.

HR Generalist Required Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR role
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment legislation (federal and/or provincial as applicable)
- Proficiency in using ADP systems (Workforce Now preferred)




- Strong understanding of HR best practices in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- CHRP or CHRL designation (or in progress) is an asset
- Experience with health & safety compliance in a manufacturing setting
- Bilingual in English and French (if applicable)
