Dynamis Engineering is a Toronto-based mechanical consulting firm delivering building systems design, construction administration, commissioning, and condition assessments for institutional and government facilities across Ontario. Our projects range from boiler plant upgrades and rooftop unit renewals to courthouses, schools, and federal buildings, so no two weeks look the same.

The Opportunity

We’re growing and looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Designer (HVAC and Plumbing) to join our engineering team. You’ll work on real projects from first site visit to final commissioning, with direct mentorship from senior engineers and the chance to take on more responsibility as you grow.

What You’ll Do

- Design building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing and drainage, and building automation
- Visit sites to survey, review, and audit existing mechanical systems
- Perform load calculations and size and select equipment
- Produce engineered drawings, details, and schematics in AutoCAD
- Prepare technical specifications and reports
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines
- Support contract administration through construction

What You Bring

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience designing building mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing and drainage,



fire protection)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D
- HVAC load calculation experience (HAP preferred)
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, ASHRAE, and NFPA standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Valid driver’s license and owned vehicle for site visits

Nice to Have

- Eligibility for P.Eng. registration
- Energy modelling experience
