Overview

CB Electric Ltd. is seeking a reliable, skilled, and motivated Red Seal Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team.

We specialize in high-end custom residential construction, commercial electrical installations, lighting control, automation, and electrical service work.

As a small, established electrical contractor, we offer the chance to be involved in all aspects of a project, from initial planning and rough-in through to final installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, can work independently, and is motivated to continually develop their skills and take on greater responsibility.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Install electrical systems in high-end custom homes, commercial buildings, and renovation projects.
- Complete electrical installations from rough-in through to finishing and commissioning.
- Install and troubleshoot lighting systems, electrical distribution equipment, and associated controls.
- Work with modern lighting control, automation, and low-voltage systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems efficiently and accurately.
- Coordinate with other trades, contractors, and project managers to maintain project schedules.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, organization, and job-site safety.
- Work independently when required while contributing to a small, efficient team.
- Assist with mentoring apprentices and maintaining quality throughout each project.

Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification.




- Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code and applicable safety requirements.
- Experience in residential and commercial electrical installations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions on site.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Experience with lighting control systems, Lutron automation, low-voltage controls, or similar technologies is considered an asset.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and expand technical knowledge.
