We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician (Red Seal) to join our team on electrical construction projects from start to finish. In this role, you will install, test, and maintain electrical systems while upholding strict safety standards and delivering high-quality work on time. Your expertise will help drive project success while meeting technical standards and client specifications.

Duties

- Perform hands-on electrical installation, setting the standard for safety, quality, and productivity on site
- Install, terminate, test, and commission electrical systems across multiple sites, following project plans, schematics, and safety protocols
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate, precise installation
- Install conduit, cable, wiring, panels, lighting, and power distribution equipment in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and Alberta Electrical Utility Code
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, and perform maintenance as required
- Work with other trades, subcontractors, and site leads to keep work on schedule
- Mentor and guide apprentices and junior electricians, providing on-the-job training and feedback
- Perform quality checks on your own work to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client expectations
- Use construction management tools such as ProCore and Bluebeam to access drawings, submit progress updates, and track tasks
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, hours, materials used, safety incidents,



and change-order items
- Travel between job sites in the Calgary area as required, using a personal vehicle (gas reimbursed)

Qualifications
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician (Construction Electrician) certification required, with Alberta journeyman credentials
- Proven experience in electrical construction, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and installation processes
- Ability to read and accurately interpret complex electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, Alberta Electrical Utility Code, and Alberta safety codes requirements
- Knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation and best practices on construction sites
- Familiarity with ProCore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software is an asset
- Experience mentoring apprentices or leading small crews is an asset
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (gas reimbursed)
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as project needs require
