Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Key Holder/Sales Associate to join our dynamic retail team. In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of our store operations, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers while supporting the leadership team. Your enthusiasm, organizational skills, and customer service expertise will drive sales, uphold store standards, and foster a welcoming environment.

As a Key Holder/Sales Associate, you will take on responsibilities that empower you to lead by example, assist customers with their needs, and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist in merchandising efforts by organizing products and maintaining attractive displays
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell products and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage inventory levels through filing, stock replenishment, and organizing stockroom areas
- Support opening and closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation and security checks
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding team members during shifts, ensuring store policies are followed, and assisting with training new staff
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving stock or merchandise as needed
- Maintain organized records of sales, receipts, and customer interactions using computer skills such as Microsoft Office and Excel




- Communicate effectively with team members and customers in English; bilingual skills in French or other languages are a plus

Experience

- Previous retail sales experience preferred; experience in hospitality or customer service roles is advantageous
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word
- Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly desirable; multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members during shifts
- Familiarity with POS systems, computer operation, cashiering, and basic math skills for cash handling tasks
- Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse customers and team members effectively
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and inventory management
