Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and assembling dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor food handling procedures to uphold hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow proper serving protocols when plating and presenting dishes
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments,
preferably as a line cook or similar role
- Robust understanding of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Basic knowledge of serving etiquette and meal presentation
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
