Machine Operator – Welding Robot Schedule: Evening shift 4:00 PM to 12:30 PM

Evening shift premium: $1.50/hour

We are looking for a welding robot operator to join our production team on the evening shift.

The person will primarily be responsible for preparing parts, operating welding robots, performing quality checks and ensuring the handling of parts and assemblies.

This is a dynamic and hands-on position that requires comfort with frequent handling of parts, standing for long periods, and the use of various production equipment.

Tasks

- Prepare the parts and materials needed for production;
- Read and understand technical plans and drawings;
- Install and position the parts in the templates;
- Operate the welding robots according to the work instructions;
- Make the necessary adjustments to the production parameters;
- Check the quality of the parts produced;
- Use different measuring instruments;
- Detect problems and make the necessary adjustments;
- Perform the handling of parts and assemblies;
- Use lifting and handling equipment safely;
- Perform slinging as needed;
- Keep your work environment clean, safe and tidy;
- Comply with quality, health and safety standards and production targets.

Required qualifications

- DEP in a relevant field and/or experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Factory or manufacturing experience (an asset).
- Experience with a welding robot (a significant asset).
- Training as a slinger or ability to undertake the required training.
- Successful completion of theoretical and practical assessments.

- Ability to use measuring instruments.
- Good physical ability and capacity to regularly handle parts and assemblies.
- Ability to work standing up and to make frequent trips.
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Versatility and an interest in learning and using new equipment.
