We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mail Order Assistant to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth processing, packaging, and shipping of customer orders. As a key player in our distribution operations, you will work with heavy equipment, manage order fulfillment tasks, and support warehouse logistics to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport goods safely within the warehouse
- Assist with order picking and packing to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders
- Manage shipping and receiving processes using warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar platforms
- Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and equipment operation
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and regular stock checks
- Support manufacturing or construction-related activities by handling heavy materials and equipment as needed




- Ensure all packaging meets quality standards and prepares items for shipment according to company procedures

Qualifications

- Proven experience working in a warehouse workplace with knowledge of warehouse distribution processes
- Valid certification or experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or equivalent platforms
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during order fulfillment and load/unload tasks
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, packaging, or manufacturing is highly desirable
- Construction or heavy equipment operation experience is a plus but not required
