Duties

- Receive, inspect, and sort used medical devices and surgical instruments for reprocessing.
- Follow detailed cleaning protocols using approved manual and automated methods to remove debris and biological material.
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and sterilizers according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
- Verify proper packaging, labeling, and documentation of sterilized items to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of reprocessing activities, including cycle logs and quality assurance documentation.




- Conduct routine quality checks to identify damaged or non-compliant equipment requiring repair or disposal.
- Adhere strictly to infection control policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times.

Experience

- Prior experience in medical device reprocessing, sterilization, or a related healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is highly beneficial for understanding device labels, instructions, and documentation.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining sterile environments in accordance with health regulations.
