Position: Medical Specialist (Medical Second Opinion)

Commitment: Flexible, ~20–40 hours per week

Compensation: $230–$270 per hour

Role

- Collaborate with a leading AI lab's Gen-AI research team to improve AI model performance in Surgery.
- Provide deep subject-matter expertise in surgery to enhance training data quality and rigor.
- Develop and maintain precise annotation standards tailored to surgical topics.
- Create detailed guidelines and rubrics to evaluate medical reasoning and problem-solving tasks.
- Design challenging, domain-relevant tasks in multiple surgical specializations and write accurate, well-structured solutions.
- Evaluate medical tasks and solutions and deliver clear, actionable written feedback.




- Work closely with other domain experts to ensure the consistency and accuracy of training data.

Responsibilities:
- Guide research teams to bridge knowledge gaps in AI models related to surgical practice.
- Set and uphold the gold standard in annotation and evaluation for surgery-related training data.
- Participate in regular calibration calls with client research teams.
- Deliver high-impact, flexible remote work that contributes to state-of-the-art AI in medicine.
