Summary of :

The Mental Health Support Worker believes that all people who live with mental illness are able to have recovery, believes in the principles and values of psychosocial rehabilitation and is able to work in partnership with clients. This role within Cheamview Clubhouse is a generalist position and must be able to fill in for any staff person at either clubhouse location. Their time will be divided equally in providing support services in the areas of personal skills development, social and rec/leisure and employment skills development.

Role in the Clubhouse:

Supports and facilitates rehabilitation and recovery based programs, increases client’s ability to manage their personal life, increases client involvement and stability in the community, provides individual support with a focus on psychosocial rehabilitation and works collaboratively with all staff and clients equally.

The Mental Health Support

Worker is able to engage with, motivate and empower clubhouse clients and help each person move along the recovery continuum.



The staff will support clients to find meaningful work.

Special Requirements

Must be proficient and experienced in all of the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly in Excel)

Class 4 Driver’s License, Basic First Aid, Food Protected

Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of University or College in a relevant field A minimum of 2 Years related experience

Ability to form a therapeutic relationship

Knowledge of community resources

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $33.49-$35.31 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
