NIGHT OWLS WANTED: PART-TIME OVERNIGHT HOUSEKEEPER

The Duckworth Inn is a small, family-run 12-room inn in downtown St. John’s, and we’re looking for a dependable Overnight Housekeeper to join our team.

We’re small. We’re pretty laid-back. But we also need someone who shows up, gets the job done, and doesn’t need someone standing over them to do it.

The Hours

This position involves overnight shifts with varying start times, finishing in the morning.

It is part-time to start, with the opportunity to become full-time for someone who proves to be reliable and a great fit for our team.

What Will You Actually Be Doing?

It’s an overnight housekeeping position — so yes, there is actual work involved.

You’ll be

- Cleaning and preparing guest rooms
- Keeping common areas clean and tidy
- Getting things ready for the daytime crew
- Answering the occasional phone call
- Helping guests if something comes up overnight
- Working independently and keeping yourself productive

Because we’re a small inn, some nights will naturally be busier than others. Who Are We Looking For?

Someone who

- Actually shows up for their scheduled shifts
- Is dependable, trustworthy and punctual
- Notices the little things and takes pride in doing a job properly
- Can work independently without constant supervision




- Is comfortable dealing with guests when needed
- Can communicate comfortably in English
- Has reliable transportation

Experience is great, but reliability, common sense and a good work ethic matter just as much to us.
