We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Part-Time Mechanic to assist with the maintenance and repair of our company vehicles.

The Position

We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Mechanic to perform general repairs and preventative maintenance on our fleet of light-duty trucks, primarily Chevrolet Silverado 2500 models.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on mechanical experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently and efficiently.

We offer competitive compensation of $45.00–$50.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, and provide a company workshop with all necessary tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

- Perform general mechanical repairs and routine maintenance on company trucks.
- Diagnose and repair brake systems, including pads, rotors, calipers, and related components.
- Inspect and repair front-end components, steering, and suspension systems.
- Perform oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and preventative maintenance.




- Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend necessary repairs.
- Identify and address vehicle deficiencies in preparation for safety inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of completed repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Previous hands-on experience in automotive or light-duty truck maintenance and repairs.
- Strong knowledge of brakes, steering, suspension, and general mechanical systems.
- Experience working on Chevrolet Silverado 2500 trucks or similar vehicles is an asset.
- Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician licence preferred. Candidates must be legally qualified to perform assigned repairs.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and work independently.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with management and staff.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence is an asset.
