Responsibilities

Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries with precision and care. Support cake decorating efforts by applying icing, fondant, and decorative elements to create visually appealing confections. Help with food production tasks including measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling desserts.

Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Assist with packaging baked goods efficiently for retail or catering purposes while maintaining presentation quality.



Support kitchen staff during busy periods by preparing ingredients and assisting with food preparation tasks.

Maintain inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, notifying supervisors when stock needs replenishing.

Qualifications

Previous experience in pastry making, baking, or food preparation is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential. Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic cooking techniques are highly valued. Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and food industry standards enhances your candidacy.

Understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is crucial. Excellent attention to detail in food presentation and packaging. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.

Customer service skills are a plus, especially when interacting with clients or assisting during catering events.
