At LYLAS Jewelry, we believe jewelry is more than an accessory. It is a way to celebrate relationships, milestones, and meaningful memories. We specialize in permanent jewelry, charm jewelry, custom fine jewelry, and interactive jewelry experiences.

We are looking for a personable, detail-oriented individual with jewelry experience (or existing permanent jewelry skills) to join us for a seasonal, event-based role. This is an on-call position focused on delivering exceptional permanent jewelry experiences at special events, markets, private celebrations, and occasional boutique support in Calgary and nearby communities.

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers and guide them through the permanent jewelry experience at events.
- Help customers select chains, charms, and connectors that reflect their personal style.
- Measure and fit bracelets, anklets, and necklaces accurately.
- Perform permanent jewelry welding (training provided if needed; preference for those who already know the process).
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain consistent quality standards.
- Provide knowledgeable, friendly service while creating a comfortable experience for customers.
- Support mobile events, markets, corporate activations, and private celebrations when scheduled.
- Maintain equipment, organize materials, and keep the workspace clean and professional.
- Assist with setup and teardown at events, including lifting and carrying equipment and supplies.
- Work independently and manage events on your own at times.

What We Are Looking For

- Jewelry experience or prior knowledge of permanent jewelry (strong preference for candidates who already know the welding process).




- Solid jewelry or hands-on service experience with a willingness to learn is also welcome; training will be provided.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Steady hands and strong attention to detail.
- Reliability, professionalism, and flexibility.
- Comfortable working alone at times and managing events independently.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, supplies, and pop-up setup materials (typically up to 25–30 lbs).
- Reliable personal vehicle available to transport pop-up setups and materials to events.
- Comfortable with event-based work and occasional travel to nearby areas (Airdrie, Chestermere, etc.).

Schedule & Compensation

- Seasonal, event-based / on-call role with no guaranteed hours.
- We are looking to train and onboard immediately, with a potential first event in November.
- Initial contract is for 3 months and is renewable. Either party may end the arrangement with 1 month’s notice.
- Prospect to move into a permanent part-time role based on performance and business needs.
- Events are typically scheduled with 2–3 weeks’ notice. Last-minute requests are offered only if you choose to accept them.
- Most events fall within a pre-agreed window (e.g., 10am–9pm); anything outside that window will be confirmed with you first.
- Prepaid events:



paid for the event time plus a 1-hour travel/setup/buffer.
- Pop-ups: hourly rate plus sales bonus/commission.
- Tips and commissions/sales bonuses are also available.
- Travel fees are calculated for out-of-city events.
