Serenity Within Home Care is looking for a dependable, compassionate and flexible Personal Support Worker to join our team in a casual relief capacity.
This position is dedicated to one consistent client. Rather than travelling between multiple homes, you will provide coverage for the same client, helping maintain continuity of care, familiar routines and a comfortable environment.
We are looking for someone who can provide reliable coverage for both 12-hour day and night shifts when our regularly scheduled staff are unavailable.
Position Details
- Employment type: Casual / relief
- Hourly wage: $21.00–$24.00, based on experience and qualifications
- Shift length: 12-hour shifts
- Shifts: Days and nights
- Client assignment: One consistent client
- Location: Campbellcroft
- Hours: As needed, depending on coverage requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centred personal support.
- Assist with activities of daily living according to the client’s care plan.
- Maintain consistent routines and follow individualized care requirements.
- Respect client dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
- Communicate professionally with management and the existing care team.
- Arrive on time and provide dependable coverage for scheduled shifts.
Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker certificate or recognized equivalent.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Vulnerable sector screening, as required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation to the client’s location.
- Flexibility to cover both day and night shifts.
- Previous home care experience is an asset.
