PLC Programmer – Industrial Automation

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 annually

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated PLC Programmer to join a well-established industrial automation and custom machine-building company in Windsor, Ontario.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning PLC-controlled equipment and automated manufacturing systems.

This position offers the chance to work on innovative, custom-engineered automation solutions, including specialized manufacturing cells, plastics joining systems, hot plate welding equipment, robotic integration, and flexible assembly systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong PLC programming experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of industrial automation and machine controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems for custom industrial automation equipment.




- Develop and modify PLC programs using platforms such as Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) and Siemens.
- Program and configure Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for machine operation, diagnostics, and monitoring.
- Participate in the design, development, testing, and commissioning of automated manufacturing equipment.
- Integrate PLC systems with robotic equipment, sensors, servo drives, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and other automation components.
- Support automation projects involving assembly systems, plastics joining, welding, and specialized manufacturing processes.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues to ensure optimal machine
