Wide Format Sign Production Operator

Lacombe, Alberta | Full-Time, Hourly | On-Site

About the Opportunity A well-established sign and print shop in Lacombe, Alberta is looking for an experienced Wide Format Sign Production Operator to take ownership of its sign production floor — running the equipment, organizing the work, and driving quality jobs out the door on time.

This is a hands-on production role for someone ready to step up. You will manage the flow of work from approved order through to production, batch and sequence jobs for efficiency, oversee quality and turnaround, and work alongside a dedicated finisher. It is an ideal fit for a seasoned production person who wants more responsibility, a say in how things are done, and real room to grow.

Lacombe offers a welcoming, close-knit community of roughly 13,000–14,000 people and a noticeably lower cost of living than major urban centres — your earnings go further here. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate coming from outside the region.

What You’ll Do

- Operate and maintain wide format production equipment, including HP Latex and Summa (Flexi Complete / Production Manager) and a Mimaki hybrid UV printer (RasterLink), plus wide format lamination.
- Take jobs from approved order through production,

planning and batching work so orders are produced efficiently and shipped on schedule.
- Own the quality, speed, and on-time delivery of production output.
- Work with vinyls, laminates, and direct-to-substrate printing across a variety of materials.
- Oversee and coordinate the finisher supporting production, keeping the floor organized and on track.
- Bring a problem-solving mindset to custom and non-standard customer requests, and contribute ideas for better, faster, higher-quality production.

What We’re Looking For

- 5–10 years of hands-on wide format / sign production experience.
- Proven ability to run production independently — planning your own schedule, sequencing jobs, and hitting deadlines without close supervision.
- Comfort and confidence across wide format printers, RIP software, and finishing equipment (direct experience with the systems above is a strong asset).
- Readiness to step into more responsibility and help lead the production area — a cooperative team player, not a lone wolf.
- A creative, resourceful, “let’s figure it out” attitude, and openness to new approaches.
- Strong eye for quality and detail.
