The Program

Assistant will support the Sports &

- Adventure Program Director and Head Instructors with activities, equipment, and daily operations. Assist with instruction, tournaments, camper transitions, and safe drop-off and pick-up.

WHAT IS AMAZING ABOUT THIS JOB:

- Assist the Sports &
- Adventure Program Director and Head Instructors with all Sports Camp programs.
- Assist with equipment inventory management for Sports &
- Adventure camps.
- Support all Sports &
- Adventure programs and instruct when required.
- Help organize and co-host cross-camp tournaments and activities.
- Ensure compliance with Appleby’s Sports &
- Adventure procedures and safety protocols.
- Aid in safe drop-off and pick-up for all campers, engaging with parents and guardians.
- Assist in daily camp operations including lunch supervision and transitions.

YOU WILL BE A EXCELLENT FIT IF YOU:





- Completed second year of post-secondary education with experience instructing Sports or Adventure programs.
- Strong athletic and coaching skills with proven experience in a recreation or camp setting.
- Organized and confident leading activities in front of groups.
- Experience facilitating sports competitions, warm-ups, and adventure programming.
- Valid Intermediate First Aid and CPR – C or higher.
- Knowledge or certification in canoeing, ropes, or lifeguarding is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license is an asset.
