Company Overview

Omineca provides industrial maintenance, fabrication, welding, machining, and construction expertise in Canada and the United States. We are experienced in repairs, upgrades, new builds, and custom fabrication of material handling and processing equipment for natural resource industries across North America.

We are driven by our passion for excellence. This same drive and energy is reflected at every level of our operations from the office to the shop floor to our project worksites.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Prince George team and take ownership of industrial projects from award through completion.

The successful candidate will bring strong experience and a proven track record in mining, forestry, or both. This position requires a practical understanding of the safety, production, and maintenance demands of operating mines and mills.

Working closely with clients, supervisors, tradespeople, subcontractors, and the Omineca leadership team, the Project Manager will ensure projects are completed safely, to a high standard, on schedule, and within budget. Our ideal candidate is organized, commercially minded, and capable of managing multiple priorities. We are looking for somebody who takes initiative, builds strong customer relationships, and follows through on commitments.

Interested applicants are encouraged to submit a resume outlining relevant project management and industry experience. We thank all applicants for their interest; only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

- Work with supervisors and the safety team to address hazards, lockout, permits, lifting activities, and site requirements; support compliance with safety and environmental requirements, Omineca policies, and client standards.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, quality records, and deficiency resolution; work with clients, engineering, suppliers, and site teams to resolve technical and constructability issues.
- Represent Omineca at project meetings, communicate progress and risks, build customer relationships, and provide direction and mentoring to project personnel while supporting estimating and repeat-work opportunities.
- Coordinate project completion, commissioning support, punch lists, turnover documentation, and final invoicing; review results and apply lessons learned to improve future projects.
