The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, can manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, and takes ownership of projects from initial quotation through material delivery and installation coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Project Estimating & Quotation Management
- Review RFQs, RFPs, tender documents, architectural drawings, site plans, surveys, and project specifications from government agencies, contractors, developers, and commercial clients.
- Accurately calculate material quantities and prepare detailed material takeoffs to ensure quotations include all required products, components, and accessories.

- Coordinate with the sales team to ensure accurate, competitive, and timely quotations.
- Manage multiple quotation requests and projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
Supplier Coordination & Material Ordering
- Prepare accurate purchase orders, material lists, and supplier ordering schedules.
- Coordinate with domestic and international suppliers to ensure materials are ordered correctly and delivered on time.
- Monitor inventory availability, production timelines, and shipment schedules.
- Verify order quantities, specifications, and delivery requirements to prevent shortages, delays, and unnecessary costs.
North American Logistics Management
- Coordinate freight, shipping, warehousing, and deliveries throughout Canada and the United States.
- Work with transportation companies, freight brokers, suppliers, and warehouses to ensure efficient project fulfillment.
- Track shipments, manage delivery schedules, and resolve logistical challenges.
- Identify cost-effective transportation solutions while maintaining project timelines.
Third-Party Installer & Labour Network Development
- Research, identify, recruit, and establish relationships with reliable third-party installers, contractors, and labour providers across North America.
- Evaluate installers based on experience, qualifications, reliability, pricing, and workmanship.
- Negotiate installation rates and coordinate subcontractor availability for upcoming projects.
- Maintain a database of qualified installation partners across different regions.
- Monitor installation performance, project timelines, and service quality.
Project Management & Execution
- Oversee multiple projects from quotation through procurement, delivery, and installation coordination.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
- Proactively identify and resolve project issues before they affect deadlines or costs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, installers, transportation providers, and internal departments.
- Ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and within budget.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in construction, building materials, fencing, construction supply, or a closely related industry.
- Proven experience managing high-volume workloads and multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, architectural plans, site surveys, and material specifications.
- Robust experience in material estimating, quantity takeoffs, purchasing, and supplier coordination.
- Experience coordinating logistics, freight, or material deliveries.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently.
- Ability to remain calm, productive, and accurate under pressure.
- Adaptable, resourceful,
and comfortable working in a rapidly growing business.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other business software.
Preferred:
- Experience managing projects across multiple provinces or states.

The successful candidate must be able to:

- Pay close attention to details, especially material quantities, specifications, and costs.
Compensation Annual Salary: $60,000–$66,000 CAD, based on qualifications and relevant experience.
