About the Role

Shaw Steel Services is looking for a hard-working, dependable individual to join our team in Strathmore, AB. This hybrid role combines hands-on rebar fabrication with local transportation, operating a small truck paired with a 40' trailer to deliver light rebar loads (up to 15,000 kg)

Key Responsibilities

- Fabrication: Cut, bend, and assemble rebar according to project specifications and quality standards.
- Material Transport: Safely haul light loads of rebar using a small truck and a 40' trailer to local job sites and clients.
- Cargo Handling: Securely load, tie down, and unload shipments, ensuring balanced weight distribution and strict adherence to cargo safety standards.
- Shop Support: Maintain an organized and safe work area in the yard and shop, assisting with equipment maintenance and inventory management.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Driving Experience: Proven experience towing long trailers (40' trailer experience preferred).




- Valid Driver’s License: Clean driving record required; commercial driving/freight experience is a strong asset.
- Physical Aptitude: Ability to handle physical labor, heavy lifting, and shop/outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Work Ethic: Highly reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and self-motivated.
- Commute: Must be able to reliably commute to Strathmore, AB.

Job Type: Full time Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
