Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality massage therapy treatments tailored to each client's specific needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or other modalities.
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients before, during, and after sessions to ensure comfort and understanding of procedures.
- Keep accurate records of treatments provided, client progress, and any recommendations for ongoing care.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety standards, including proper sanitation practices and compliance with licensing regulations.
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and lifestyle adjustments that support their wellness journey.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to provide comprehensive care.
- Must be collaborate within the wellness team to ensure guests receive a seamless experience.
- Keep records of all treatments in accordance with provincial standards and regulations.
- Learn about product and reach sales goals within the wellness clinic.
Qualifications
- Valid registration as a Massage Therapist with the appropriate licensing body in Nova Scotia.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and client health conditions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and relaxing environment.
- Effective communication skills to clearly explain treatment procedures and address client questions or concerns.
- Prior experience in a clinical or spa setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided if needed.
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.
