About Healing Waves Counselling

Healing Waves Counselling is a growing mental health clinic offering virtual and in-person counselling services. We specialize in ADHD, neurodiversity, trauma-informed care, and supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges.

We are looking for a Registered Social Worker (RSW) to join our team and provide in-person counselling and ADHD assessments at our 100 Mile House office. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals and wants to be part of a supportive, collaborative, and growing practice.

The Position

This is an independent contractor position starting at two days per week (Fridays and Saturdays), with the potential to grow as client demand increases.

The successful candidate will provide counselling to youth, adults, and couples, as well as conduct in-person ADHD assessments for clients seeking greater understanding of their needs and support with their mental health.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide individual counselling to youth and adults.
- Offer couples counselling to support relationships and communication.
- Conduct in-person ADHD assessments and provide appropriate recommendations and support.
- Support clients experiencing ADHD, neurodivergence, emotional regulation challenges, trauma, anxiety, and other mental health concerns.
- Develop individualized, trauma-informed treatment approaches based on each client's needs.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to professional and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with the Healing Waves Counselling team when appropriate.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Registered Social Worker in good standing with the appropriate regulatory body in British Columbia.




- Demonstrated experience working with ADHD and neurodivergence.
- Experience providing counselling to youth, adults, and couples.
- Experience or appropriate training in ADHD assessments, including familiarity with assessment tools and diagnostic processes.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Commitment to trauma-informed, client-centred, and inclusive care.
- Availability to work in person on Fridays and Saturdays.

Additional training or experience in trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, or other areas of mental health would be an asset. What We Offer
