Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Quality Standards

- Perform thorough residential cleaning, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, and common areas.
- Complete routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and general tidying.
- Perform detailed cleaning tasks according to client requirements and company cleaning checklists.
- Follow established cleaning procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality results.
- Handle clients' belongings and property with care, respect, and professionalism.
- Identify and report any property damage, maintenance concerns, or cleaning challenges promptly.
- Assist with commercial cleaning and Airbnb turnover services as required.

Time Management & Organization

- Complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently within scheduled appointment times without compromising quality.
- Maintain cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Follow daily schedules and communicate promptly regarding delays, scheduling conflicts, or unexpected issues.
- Travel independently between assigned client locations using your own reliable vehicle or travel with the team.




- Work independently or collaboratively with other team members as required.

Customer Service & Professionalism

- Represent Smile and Shine Cleaning with a positive, courteous, and professional attitude.
- Respect client privacy, confidentiality, and individual household preferences.
- Follow client-specific instructions and accommodate reasonable cleaning preferences.
- Maintain open and respectful communication with management and team members.
- Contribute to a positive team culture built on trust, accountability, and mutual respect.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required

- Valid driver's licence and access to your own reliable vehicle to travel independently between assigned cleaning locations.
- Ability to travel to residential, commercial, and Airbnb cleaning sites throughout Brantford and surrounding areas.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good English communication skills and ability to understand and follow cleaning instructions.
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including standing, bending, reaching, and lifting cleaning supplies and equipment, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
- Willingness to follow workplace health and safety procedures, including safe handling of cleaning products.
- Professional, respectful, and trustworthy when working in clients' homes.
- Availability to work part-time shifts, primarily Monday through Friday.

Preferred but Not Required

- Previous experience in residential cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, or a similar customer-focused role.
- Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and safe cleaning practices.




- Experience following cleaning checklists and quality standards.
- Experience with commercial cleaning or Airbnb turnover services.

No professional cleaning experience? No problem! We value attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Training and guidance will be provided to help you succeed.
