We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a passion for providing exceptional dining experiences. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, preferably Micros POS.
- Deliver food and drinks promptly while ensuring proper presentation.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests regarding menu items and specials, utilizing upselling techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, including cash handling and basic math for accurate billing.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience.
- Assist in training recent staff members on restaurant policies and procedures as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations is a plus, including food preparation techniques.
