Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales & Design Consultant to join our Guelph showroom team. The ideal candidate will have strong sales and customer service skills, an eye for design, and a passion for helping customers select the right flooring and window coverings for their homes or businesses.

This rapid-paced role involves guiding customers through the entire sales process, from product selection and design consultation to estimating, project coordination, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers and provide professional, knowledgeable sales and design consultations.
- Assist customers in selecting flooring and window coverings that suit their style, needs, and budget.
- Explain product features, perks, installation requirements, and project timelines.
- Prepare accurate estimates and quotations using measurements and floor plans.
- Conduct in-home consultations, site measurements, and project assessments as required.
- Follow up with customers on quotations, inquiries, and ongoing projects to secure sales and ensure satisfaction.




- Build lasting customer relationships and generate repeat and referral business.
- Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training and supplier education.
- Work collaboratively with the sales, estimating, and installation teams to ensure a positive customer experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Previous retail sales and customer service experience required.
- Experience in flooring, home improvement, or interior design is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
- Proficiency with computers, basic mathematics, and estimating.
- Self-motivated, professional, and comfortable working in a sales-driven environment.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to customer locations.
- Availability to work Saturdays is mandatory.
- Interior decorating or design education is considered an asset.

Pay: $40,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
