About the opportunity:

BC Labour Service is building a roster of scaffolders for future assignments across Burnaby, Vancouver, and Metro Vancouver.

We’re looking for scaffolders who follow the erection plan, check components, and communicate clearly with the crew. Tell us which scaffold systems you have worked with and the level of responsibility you have held.

We have not confirmed projects or start dates yet. Registering your interest does not guarantee employment or weekly hours. When suitable work becomes available, we’ll contact you to discuss the assignment, pay, schedule, and site requirements before you decide whether to accept.

What the work may involve:

Depending on the assignment, duties may include:

- Sorting and checking scaffold components and setting aside damaged parts
- Erecting, modifying, and dismantling scaffold within your training and assigned role
- Following the design, manufacturer instructions, and directions of the qualified supervisor
- Installing platforms, access, ties, and edge protection as specified
- Keeping exclusion areas clear and reporting incomplete or unsafe scaffold conditions

What we’re looking for:

- Scaffold erection experience with the systems relevant to the assignment




- Understanding of component limits, access requirements, and safe erection sequences
- Training in fall protection and the ability to follow the site protection plan
- Understanding that inspections and release for use must be completed by the designated qualified person
- Dependable attendance, clear crew communication, and ability to reach agreed sites

Tell us about your scaffold training, system experience, qualifications, and current safety tickets. Requirements will vary by assignment. Expected hourly pay: $23–$42 for scaffolding assignments, depending on your experience, system knowledge, and responsibilities. Specialised assignments may offer higher rates. Your pay rate will be confirmed before you accept each assignment.
