A well-regarded, multi-entity organization in downtown Toronto is adding a Senior Accountant to their finance team. This is a core role for someone who enjoys being the engine behind accurate financials -- detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable owning their work without a lot of hand-holding.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000

Reporting into finance leadership, you’ll be responsible for keeping the books clean and the close process running smoothly across multiple entities. Day-to-day, this looks like:
- Managing the month-end and year-end close cycle, including preparation and review of journal entries
- Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accuracy across all accounts
- Preparing and reviewing account reconciliations -- bank, credit card, intercompany, and balance sheet
- Tracking and maintaining schedules for accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets
- Contributing to the preparation of internal financial reports and management packages
- Supporting the finance team during audits and liaising with external stakeholders as needed
- Working within the organization’s ERP system and flagging opportunities to improve how it’s used
- Pitching in on ad hoc finance projects as the business evolves
Who Fits This Role
- You have 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to multi-entity environments
- Your full-cycle accounting fundamentals are strong -- GAAP and ASPE are second nature
- You’ve worked in an ERP environment and pick up new systems without much friction
- Your Excel skills are genuinely advanced -- not just comfortable, but fast and accurate
- You hold an Accounting degree or diploma; CPA designation or active pursuit is a plus
- You show up consistently, communicate clearly, and take ownership of your work
