Our client, a publicly listed metals and manufacturing company with global operations, is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant for an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. They are looking for a hands-on accounting qualified who can step in and contribute immediately.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office

Duration: 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension

Responsibilities:

- Support day-to-day accounting operations and period-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Review accounting transactions and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Perform financial analysis, investigate discrepancies, and support reporting requirements.
- Provide audit support and prepare relevant schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Play a key role in the integration of multiple legal entities into SAP S/4HANA.
- Support accounting data migration,



validation, and reconciliation activities related to the SAP integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Qualifications:

- CPA/CA designation required.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on month-end accounting experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP, ideally SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience supporting financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, and period-end close activities.
- Experience in the mining, metals, or manufacturing industry is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a hands-on, deadline-driven environment.
