Overview

We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Senior Accountant to join our finance team. Although this is a year-round permanent position, our business is seasonal, and spring and early summer bring fast-paced, high-volume demand, so our environment is ideal for a leader who likes working under pressure.

What You’ll Do

Financial Planning & Reporting

- Develop and maintain the annual budget process
- Prepare and monitor cashflow projections and oversee lender reporting
- Enhance daily reporting to deliver deeper insights into customer, sales, and inventory performance
- Coordinate external financial statements and manage the auditor relationship

Accounting

- Oversee all aspects of full cycle accounting: AR, AP, inventory, payroll, and GL
- Oversee cash handling processes and the merchant services provider
- Supervise inventory counts and investigate discrepancies




- Prepare month-end journals and bank reconciliations
- Deliver the month-end and year-end close

Statutory Obligations

- Oversee all tax and statutory remittances and returns
- Maintain compliance for all licenses, insurance and utility contracts

Leadership

- Advise the owners on strategic and operational financial matters
- Provide financial training and guidance to managers and cashiers
- Hire and coach accounting team members

What You Bring

- 3 years progressive experience in finance positions
- Strategic and analytical thinking
- Solid MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Tech-savvy, and comfortable working across multiple software systems
- High degree of accuracy and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, especially with operational colleagues
