Role Overview The Senior Software Developer (Qlik Sense) will lead the design, development, integration, and deployment of interactive Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards, reporting applications, and data models. Serving on an Agile team building a scalable reporting platform, this role focuses on creating high-performance data visualizations and embedding analytical capabilities into web applications using APIs and Mashups. The position requires a robust focus on cloud integration, accessibility standards, and multi-language support.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect, develop, test, and deploy enterprise BI solutions, interactive dashboards, and reporting products using Qlik Sense.
- Build and maintain robust in-memory data models, perform complex data transformations, generate optimized QVD layers, and implement advanced Set Analysis.
- Integrate and embed Qlik Sense visualizations and dashboards into external web pages (e.g., Drupal) using true Mashups and Qlik APIs.
- Collaborate with User Experience (UX) designers to deliver interfaces matching provided wireframes, design standards, and information architecture directives.
- Ensure all front-end dashboards adhere to digital accessibility requirements (AODA / WCAG 2.0) and support bilingual (English/French) localization.
- Administer the Qlik Management Console (QMC), configuring security rules, tasks, extensions, streams, and application permissions.
- Conduct application performance tuning to resolve data loading, calculation, and rendering bottlenecks.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline automation,



quality assurance processes, and peer code reviews.
- Develop, update, and execute test plans, coordinating with QA teams and business stakeholders through user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Integrate Qlik applications with backend enterprise data sources, including AWS S3, AWS Redshift, Oracle 12c, and flat files.
- Maintain comprehensive technical design documentation, architecture specifications, and data flow diagrams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- 7+ years of extensive experience in Business Intelligence development utilizing Qlik Sense (including expressions, functions, visualization extensions, and filters) within cloud environments, especially AWS.
- Deep expertise in Qlik data modeling, data transformation scripting, QVD generation, and complex Set Analysis.
- Proven experience embedding Qlik Sense applications into web portals (such as Drupal/HTML) via Qlik APIs and true Mashups.
- Hands-on experience developing custom visualizations and widgets using the Sense API and JavaScript charting libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js).
- Demonstrated experience utilizing third-party Qlik extension libraries, particularly VizLib.
- Strong administrative experience configuring and maintaining the Qlik Management Console (QMC), including streams, security rules, and task schedulers.
- In-depth data integration experience connecting Qlik to diverse sources, including AWS Redshift, AWS S3, Oracle 12c, and CSV datasets.
- Proven track record of developing applications compliant with accessibility regulations (AODA / WCAG 2.0) and delivering multilingual interfaces (English/French).
- Strong technical background in performance tuning, optimization, and software defect troubleshooting in enterprise Qlik deployments.
