Accurate Heavy Equipment

Accurate Fabricating Ltd. has been building heavy equipment attachments since 1994. We work across construction, forestry, and material handling industries.

We are currently tightening up how we operate — putting stronger systems, clearer expectations, and better shop discipline in place.

We are looking for experienced fabricators who want to be part of that shift — not just collect a paycheck.

Senior Industrial Millwright

We are seeking a highly skilled, versatile Senior Industrial Millwright to spearhead the maintenance, diagnostic repair, and preventative maintenance (PM) implementation for our heavy-duty fabrication and welding facility. In this role, you will be the core technical anchor keeping critical production assets running at peak performance. You will be responsible for minimizing downtime and maximizing safety across our comprehensive fleet of machinery, which includes heavy-duty welding lines, overhead cranes, massive forming equipment, precise plasma cutting tables, forklifts, and industrial coating systems.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional troubleshooting capabilities, deep mechanical and structural knowledge, and the proactive mindset required to design, execute, and mature a rigorous PM schedule.

Job Duties & Responsibilities (about 4-6 bullets)

● Preventative Maintenance (PM) Management: Design, implement, and document structured PM schedules for all facility equipment to guarantee asset longevity, operational reliability, and strict compliance with safety regulations.

● Overhead Crane & Rigging Maintenance: Use of 3rd party but able to help, Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair overhead cranes, hoists, runways, and specialized rigging equipment.

Ensure complete compliance with hoist safety, weight capacities, and lifting mechanism tolerances with a 3rd party.

● CNC Plasma Burn Tables: Maintain, calibrate, and repair plasma cutting tables. Troubleshoot precise linear guide rails, drive systems, gas/plasma delivery lines, and torch height control mechanisms.

● Rolling, Forming & Press Machinery: Service and repair heavy industrial plate rollers, brake presses, and forming machinery. Troubleshoot complex high-pressure hydraulic pumps, cylinders, pneumatic systems, valves, and mechanical gearboxes.

● Welding Equipment & Accessories: Manage, test, and repair a fleet of heavy-duty welding machines (MIG, FLAW, MCAW).

● Mobile Equipment (Forklifts): Perform routine mechanical, hydraulic, and powertrain servicing on material handling forklifts to ensure safe operation.

● Industrial Paint & Coating Systems: Troubleshoot and maintain paint booth extraction systems, air compressors, pneumatic spray guns, and fluid pumps.

● Fabrication & Machining: Utilize machine tools (lathes, grinders, drill presses) and welding/cutting gear to custom-fabricate replacement parts, brackets, or structural modifications required to repair or optimize facility equipment.

● Precision Alignment & Reading: Read and interpret complex blueprints, manufacturer manuals, structural diagrams,

and fluid schematics to execute repairs with exact tolerance alignment using micrometres, dial indicators, and lasers

Qualifications

● Certification: Journeyman Red Seal Industrial Mechanic / Millwright designation or regional equivalent, highly preferred.

● Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Millwright in a heavy manufacturing, steel fabrication, or heavy-duty welding environment.

● Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in heavy industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical power transmission (gearboxes, chains, sprockets, bearings), and structural rigging.

● Welding/Fabrication Skills: Good proficiency in structural welding and torch cutting to build or modify equipment components securely.

● Diagnostics: Exceptional diagnostic and root-cause troubleshooting skills under pressure to resolve breakdown issues swiftly.

● Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work comfortably at heights (for overhead crane service), and navigate a noisy, active industrial shop environment.

● Safety Oriented: Absolute dedication to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, fall protection, and occupational health and safety standards.
