Location: Scarborough – Markham and Finch Area

Position Details:

- Part Time & Full Time – Monday to Friday
- Hours – between 8:30 and 4:30
- Pay – Dependent on Experience – Minimum Wage per hour
- Vacation Pay – Paid on Each Pay Period at 4%
- Term – Permanent, Part/Full Time upon completion of 3 Month Probationary Period

Areas of Responsibility/Experience Required Applicants must have experience working in a sewing factory workplace and be able to operate industrial sewing machines, complete repetitive work on a daily basis, and have high attention to detail.

- Serging various parts of garments Single Needle

Single Needle Machine

- For example: Single needle zippers, pockets and plackets

Binding and Coverstitch Hemming Machines

- For example: collars, shoulders, piping, armholes
- For example; hem sleeves, top stitching, bottom hems





DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES The Sewing Operator is responsible for working with the sewing team in all areas of production, and must have the ability to set up and operate their machines.

Sewing

- Sew garments in production based on delivery timelines
- Must have experience working with knit stretch fabric

Quality Control:
- Check garments in production to ensure all sewing meets or exceeds the quality expectation and that all notes on the cut sheet are followed

Production Clean-Up:
- All thread and trim are returned with the finished production to the finishing team
- Ensure samples and patterns are returned to the finishing team once the sewing is complete

Pay: From $17.60 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
