Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our winter maintenance team as a Sidewalk Snow Removal Laborer. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that sidewalks, walkways, building entrances, and other pedestrian areas are kept transparent of snow and ice to maintain safe access for the public and comply with local safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Remove snow from sidewalks, walkways, stairways, and building entrances using various tools and equipment (sweepers, shovels, snow blowers, scrapers, etc.)
- Apply de-icing agents (sand & ice melt) as necessary
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly during snow events, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Communicate with supervisors regarding job progress and any hazards or issues

Requirements

- Must be physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
- Ability to work in extreme cold and wet conditions for extended periods




- Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours on short notice including holidays
- Prior experience in snow removal or grounds maintenance preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have own vehicle to commute to shop
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues preferred
- Familiarity with snow removal equipment such as sweepers, snow blowers and backpack blowers.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

We offer a guaranteed minimum of 50 paid hours per bi-weekly pay period, providing consistent and reliable income. Any hours worked beyond 88 hours in a bi-weekly pay period will be compensated at 1.5 times your regular hourly rate. Contract will run from November 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027.

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 50.0 per week
